Born in London, Ontario, Canada, and raising in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, I had a strong childhood interest in painting and photography that has stayed with me throughout my career in architecture. I am interested in materiality, as I believe this is a very powerful aspect of architecture and form. The power of memory and emotion in architecture is an important aspect of my design theory.

I received fine arts training in Photography and Fine Arts at the University of Calgary.  I also studied as a graduate student in the M.Arch programme at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. A part of this program included studying at the University of California at Berkeley on an exchange. My architectural training allowed me to explore form, theory, and history of architecture. I have taught at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design as a seminar instructor, assisting the professor with her course in introductory art theory. I have also won awards and competed in a number of design charettes and competitions.

I am an avid yogini, mostly ashtanga and bikram/hot yoga and aspire to be an architect and yoga teacher. Also a strong ramen enthusiast, love cuisines of the world.
